The Historical Archives

In 2014, a new project was launched by OAHA.

An Archives Committee was created to acquire and process documents and objects related to the history of the Oxford area.  To date, over 2000 publications, artifacts, maps, research materials, personal records, and audio-visual materials have been processed and recorded in our data base.  A committed group of volunteers works every Monday morning to catalog the items we are collecting, and individuals donate many hours beyond the weekly meetings.  Through the generous donations of individuals, we have been able to rent part of a building at 140-142 Locust St. to house our growing collection.   Videos of our programs and recorded oral histories are also available at this site.  Our long term goal for this new site is to create displays and to be a community resource where people can research local history.
We are open every Monday morning 9-12, First Tuesdays 4-6, First Fridays 5-8
